MOBILE, Ala. | The South Alabama men's basketball team (3-6) returns after a week away from the court to take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs (3-5) Monday evening at the Alabama A&M Event Center in Huntsville, Ala.
 
This is the final game of a seven-game stretch away from home for the Jaguars. The Bulldogs and Jaguars will face off for the first time since the Bulldogs earned their first-ever victory over South Alabama in 2020, 93-90 in double overtime.

• Kevin Samuel is the Division I active career leader in rebounds with 1,131.

• Samuel is averaging 2.0 blocks per game, good for third among Sun Belt players.
• He has 320 career blocked shots, which is second-highest among active players (KC Ndefo, 325).
• Greg Parham II scored a season-high 30 points against UAB. It is one of two 30-point performances in the conference this season.

• Owen White started his 100th career game earlier this season against Alabama. He joined Kevin Samuel as the only two players on the roster to have 100+ career starts.
• White is one of 17 Division I men's basketball players who are married.
• South was picked to finish third in the Sun Belt preseason poll. The Jags finished fifth in the conference last year with a 9-7 record. 
• The Jaguars placed two players on the Preseason All-Sun Belt teams. Kevin Samuel was named to the first-team, and Greg Parham II was voted to the second team.
