Jon Meterparel will be on the call for play-by-play, and Nick Belmonte for color commentary. USA's first game against Miami will be televised live by the ACC Network, while the USF-UF game will be broadcast live by the SEC Network.

 All-Time Series
 • Miami owns a 15-8 all-time lead over South Alabama in a series that dates back to 1973. The Hurricanes took two of three games from the Jags in Miami to open the 1997 season, which marked the last meeting between the schools. USA is 2-4 all-time against Miami in the NCAA postseason, with the last Jaguar win in the postseason coming in a 7-3 victory to open the 1993 NCAA South Regional in Baton Rouge, La.

• Florida holds a 2-1 all-time lead over USA in a series that began in 1984. The Gators defeated the Jaguars 6-4 in 1991 in Gainesville, which marked the last meeting between the schools. USA defeated UF 7-4 in the 1984 NCAA South Regional in Tallahassee, Fla., which marks the only meeting between the schools in the NCAA postseason. 

• South Alabama owns a 44-34 all-time lead over USF in a series that dates back to 1978 when the Bulls were members of the Sun Belt Conference. USA defeated USF 6-5 in 10 innings in 1992 at the USF Invitational in Tampa, Fla., which marked the last meeting between the schools. The Jags and Bulls have never met in the NCAA postseason. 

SOUTH ALABAMA IN NCAA POSTSEASON
In winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament last week in Montgomery, Ala., South Alabama earned the league's at-large bid to qualify for the program's 28th NCAA regional appearance. It marks the Jags' first trip to the NCAA postseason since 2017, and their fourth under head coach Mark Calvi. USA is 38-54 all-time in the NCAA postseason.

CALVI NAMED SBC RON MAESTRI COACH OF THE YEAR
Jaguar head coach Mark Calvi was named the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Ron Maestri Coach of the Year in the yearly awards voted on by the league's head coaches. It marked the third time (2013, '15) Calvi has earned the award. Calvi led the Jaguars to the SBC East Division title, which marked the program's 17th SBC championship. 

ALL-SBC HONORS    
Left fielder Ethan Wilson was named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference on Monday, and right-handed pitchers JoJo Booker and Jeremy Lee were named second-team all-SBC. It marked the second year Wilson has been named first-team all-SBC, and the first time Booker received recognition. Lee is the first Jaguar freshman pitcher to earn all-conference honors since P.J. Walters in 2004. 

SMITH NAMED SBC CHAMPIONSHIP MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER
Right-handed pitcher Miles Smith was named the 2021 SBC Championship's most outstanding player after going 2-0 with a 3.29 ERA in two appearances with one start. Smith recorded 13 strikeouts against four walks in 13 2/3 innings pitched, and limited opponents to a .229 batting average.

SBC ALL-TOURNAMENT
Kaleb DeLaTorre, Hunter Donaldson, Santi Moniel and Ethan Wilson were each named to the SBC Championship all-tournament team. Donaldson batted .500 (7-for-14) with one double and three RBIs in four games, and DeLaTorre hit .400 (6-for-15) with two doubles, one home run and six RBIs. Wilson batted .333 (5-for-15) with one double, two triples, one home run and four RBIs, while Montiel hit .294 (5-for-17) with two doubles, two home runs and three RBIs. 

JAGS DURING WIN STREAK
South Alabama carries a five-game win streak into the NCAA postseason after defeating Appalachian State in the regular-season finale, and sweeping through the SBC Tournament. During its current streak, the Jags are batting .329 with 11 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 44 RBIs, 48 runs scored and a team OBP of .442, while the Jaguar pitching staff has posted a 4.19 ERA with two saves and 45 strikeouts against nine walks in 43 innings.

SANDLE DURING ON-BASE STREAK
Center fielder Michael Sandle carries a career-best 22-game on-base streak into the SBC Championship. During his 22-game streak, which dates back to game two of the Louisiana series on April 19, Sandle is batting .355 with three doubles, one triple, five home runs, 24 RBIs, 21 runs scored, six stolen bases, .570 slugging percentage and .413 on-base percentage, while hitting safely in 20 of 22 contests.

JAG OFFENSE AT SBC CHAMPIONSHIP
After batting .238 as a team in 49 regular season games, South Alabama hit .307 in four games at the SBC Championship, along with eight doubles, three triples, six home runs, 32 RBIs, 35 runs scored and two stolen bases.

JAGS IN TOP 5 NATIONALLY IN SACRIFICE BUNTS
South Alabama enters the NCAA postseason ranked fifth in the nation in sacrifice bunts with 50. First baseman Kaleb DeLaTorre leads the team and ranks third nationally with 12 sacrifice bunts.

JAG DEFENSE IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
South Alabama ranks 19th nationally in fielding percentage (.979) entering the regional. Over their last 11 games, the Jaguars have committed four errors for a .990 fielding percentage.

JAGUAR PITCHING STAFF IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Jaguar pitching staff ranks 14th nationally in WHIP (1.24), 25th in hits allowed per nine innings (7.86), 26th in walks allowed per nine innings (3.26) and 27th in ERA (3.84) entering the NCAA postseason.

SMITH WINS SBC ERA TITLE
Right-hander Miles Smith closed the regular season as the SBC leader in ERA (2.00). He ranked second in runs allowed (19) and earned runs allowed (14), tied for fifth in opposing batting average (.216), seventh in walks allowed (17) and eighth in hits allowed (50).

MONTIEL'S LAST 8 GAMES    
Shortstop Santi Montiel is batting .324 (11-for-34) with three doubles, three home runs, five RBIs, seven runs scored, .676 slugging percentage and .410 OBP in his last eight games, dating back to May 16 against Coastal Carolina. Montiel has hit safely in seven of eight contests during that span. 

JAGS WHEN OUTHITTING THE OPPOSITION
South Alabama is 19-1 when outhitting the opposition this season, 7-13 when getting outhit and 7-6 when hits are tied. The Jaguars' only loss this season when outhitting the opponent came in the series opener at Texas State on May 7. 

ALLOWING FIVE OR LESS
South Alabama is 31-6 this season when allowing five runs or less, but is 2-14 when opponents score six or more. 

CALVI ECLIPSES 300 CAREER WINS
Jaguar head coach Mark Calvi earned his 300th career win in game two of the Georgia State series on April 25 at Stanky Field. Calvi enters the NCAA postseason with 310 career wins, all of which have come at South Alabama. 

WILSON NAMED PRESEASON SBC PLAYER OF THE YEAR, ALL-AMERICA
Ethan Wilson was named the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year, marking the second straight season he was voted the league's top player in preseason voting. Wilson was also named Baseball America First-Team Preseason All-America, and Third-Team Preseason All-America by D1Baseball.
