MOBILE, Ala. – United Soccer Coaches named Jaguar soccer center-defensive midfielder junior Brenna McPartlan to the third team all-region for the Southeast regionWednesday morning.
McPartlan led the Jags in almost all offensive categories with 11 goals, nine assists for 31 points across the fall and spring. The 24 starts in 24 matches stands tied for most in a single-season, along with senior Deanna Green, juniors Tilly Wilkes and Gabrielle Gayle. The Lancashire, England, native set a new single-season record with 2,234 minutes on the pitch.
Of McPartlan's 11 goals, four were game-winning bring her to 10 career total – a mark that is Fourth all-time on the South Alabama career standings.
This distinction comes after McPartlan was a part of South Alabama earning the top spot in the Sun Belt East Division, winning the Sun Belt Tournament and advancing in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history with a win over Colorado.
During the fall season with the tournament included, McPartlan led the conference in goals and points outright while tied with junior Morgan Cross in assists. In recognition of this, the junior was awarded a spot on the First Team All-Sun Belt team and the All-Sun Belt Tournament team.
