 All-Time Series
UT Arlington owns an 8-10 all-time lead over South Alabama in a series that began in 2014. The Mavericks swept a three-game series in 2019 in Arlington, Texas, which marked the last meeting between the schools. USA swept a three-game set at Stanky Field in 2018 which marked the Jags' last win over UTA. South Alabama is 1-5 all-time at UTA.

JAGS LEAD NATION IN SACRIFICE BUNTS
South Alabama enters the weekend as the nation's leader in sacrifice bunts with 16. Santi Montiel, Hunter Stokes and Reid Powers are tied for the Sun Belt Conference lead with three, which is tied for 23rd nationally. 

JAGUAR PITCHING STAFF IN SBC RANKINGS
The Jaguar pitching staff enters the week as the Sun Belt leader in fewest home runs allowed (9), ranked second in ERA (3.75) and opposing batting average (.236), and third in strikeouts (162). 

LEHRMANN IN SBC RANKINGS
Jaguar left-hander Tyler Lehrmann ranks tied for third in the Sun Belt Conference in opposing batting average (.169) and innings pitched (22.0), and tied for ninth in ERA (2.86).

LEE IN SBC RANKINGS
Jaguar right-hander Jeremy Lee ranks seventh in the Sun Belt in ERA (2.50), and 11th in opposing batting average (.217).

JAGS HOMER 4 TIMES IN SERIES FINALE VS JSU
South Alabama hit four home runs in its 7-5 win over Jacksonville State in last weekend's series finale. Ethan Wilson hit two home runs, and Santi Montiel and Tommy van de Sanden added one apiece. It marked the first time USA has hit four home runs in a game since May 11, 2018, when it homered four times at UT-Arlington. 

PINCH-HIT HOME RUN
Tommy van de Sanden's pinch-hit home run in last weekend's series finale with Jacksonville State marked the first time a Jaguar pinch-hitter has hit a home run since Adam Wolfe on May 14, 2016, at Louisiana.

TWO-OUT RBIs
South Alabama has recorded 28 two-out RBIs this season, which accounts for 42 percent of its 66 total RBIs. Hunter Stokes leads the team with eight RBIs with two outs, followed by Ethan Wilson with six RBIs.

DALTON TIED FOR LEAGUE LEAD IN WINS
Jaguar right-handed reliever Jase Dalton enters Tuesday's game tied for the Sun Belt Conference lead in wins (3), which ranks tied for eighth nationally. 

JAGS WHEN OUTHITTING THE OPPOSITION
South Alabama is 6-0 when outhitting the opposition this season, but is 1-4 when getting outhit and 1-4 when hits are tied.

WILSON HIT, ON-BASE STREAKS
Ethan Wilson carries a team-best six-game hitting streak and on-base streak into the weekend series. Wilson is batting .423 with four doubles, two home runs, eight RBIs, four runs scored, an .808 slugging percentage and .423 on-base percentage during that span. 

RUNS ALLOWED OVER FINAL THREE INNINGS
South Alabama has allowed 43 total runs in the final three innings of games this season, while allowing 39 total runs in the first six innings of games this year.

SEASON HIGH IN HITS FOLLOWED BY SEASON LOW
South Alabama recorded a season-high 13 hits in its March 9 loss at No. 23 Alabama, but finished with a season-low one hit in the series opener with Jacksonville State on March 12, which came in the form of a double by Ethan Wilson.

JAGUAR DEFENSE TRENDING IN RIGHT DIRECTION
South Alabama enters the series opener this weekend with a three-game errorless streak, and has committed just one error in its last four games dating back to last weekend's series opener with Jacksonville State. USA has committed 24 errors in 16 games this year.

BOOKER RECORDS CAREER HIGH IN INNINGS PITCHED
Jaguar right-hander JoJo Booker tossed a career-high eight innings in a March 7 start against Middle Tennessee. Booker struck out eight and issued two walks while allowing two unearned runs in that start, and bettered his previous high of 6 1/3 innings, which came on March 8, 2019, against Sacred Heart. 

WILSON NAMED TO GOLDEN SPIKES AWARD WATCH LIST
Ethan Wilson was selected to the 2021 USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List, marking the second straight season he has been named to the list. 

POWERS NAMED TO BUSTER POSEY AWARD WATCH LIST
Jaguar catcher Reid Powers was named to the 2021 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List on March 9. The award is given annually to the nation's top Division I catcher by The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission. Semifinalists will be announced May 20, and finalists on June 7 with the winner to be named on a date that has not yet been determined.

WILSON NAMED PRESEASON SBC PLAYER OF THE YEAR, ALL-AMERICA
Ethan Wilson was named the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year, marking the second straight season he was voted the league's top player in preseason voting. Wilson was also named Baseball America First-Team Preseason All-America, and Third-Team Preseason All-America by D1Baseball.

WILSON NAMED TO BOBBY BRAGAN COLLEGIATE SLUGGER AWARD WATCH LIST
Ethan Wilson was named to 2021 Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award watch list, which honors the nation's top collegiate hitter. Wilson was one of 48 student-athletes named to the watch list, and the lone Sun Belt Conference representative.
