South Alabama is 5-2 all-time against Southeast Missouri in a series that dates back to 1995. Every game of the series has been played at Stanky Field. The Jags took two of three games from the Redhawks in '95, and split a pair of midweek games in 1996 before USA swept a pair of midweek games in 2001.

• Ethan Wilson was named the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year, marking the second straight season he was voted the league's top player in preseason voting. Wilson was also named Baseball America First-Team Preseason All-America, and Third-Team Preseason All-America by D1Baseball.

74 AND COUNTING
Kaleb DeLaTorre, Santi Montiel and Ethan Wilson have each started in 74 consecutive games - every game since joining the program. They each started all 56 games in 2019, in addition to all 18 games last season.

WILSON NAMED TO GOLDEN SPIKES AWARD WATCH LIST
Ethan Wilson was selected to the 2021 USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List, marking the second straight season he has been named to the list. 

WILSON NAMED TO BOBBY BRAGAN COLLEGIATE SLUGGER AWARD WATCH LIST
Ethan Wilson was named to 2021 Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award watch list, which honors the nation's top collegiate hitter. Wilson was one of 48 student-athletes named to the watch list, and the lone Sun Belt Conference representative. The winner of the BBCSA will be announced in June at the Fort Worth Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

JAGS WALK-OFF CAMPBELL IN 2020 SEASON OPENER
South Alabama defeated Campbell 1-0 in last season's opener after redshirt junior third baseman Hunter Stokes delivered a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning. It marked Stokes' first home run since May 25, 2017, when he homered in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship game. 

JAGS PICKED SECOND IN SUN BELT EAST DIVISION
The Jaguars were picked to finish second in the Sun Belt Conference East Division in a preseason poll voted on by the league's coaches. USA earned one first-place vote behind Coastal Carolina, who was picked to win the division with 10 first-place votes.

SEASON OPENERS UNDER CALVI
South Alabama is 6-3 in season openers under head coach Mark Calvi. USA defeated Campbell 1-0 in last season's season opener on a one-out walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning by Hunter Stokes.
