INDIANAPOLIS – The University of South Alabama women's soccer team will face No. 1 seed Florida State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 5 p.m. (CST) at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee, Fla. 

The match will be broadcast live on ACCNX, and live stats will also be available. Ticket are available on Florida State's website.

South Alabama (12-4-3, 6-2-2 SBC) holds a five-game unbeaten streak going into the first round of the tournament. The Jags recorded two shutouts during the Sun Belt Tournament, including a 1-0 win over Georgia Southern to clinch their eighth NCAA Tournament bid in the last nine years. 

Florida State (16-1-2, 7-1-2 ACC) is making its 22nd straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The Seminoles went on a 14-game winning streak during the regular season and are currently on a three-game unbeaten streak heading into the tournament. The match will be the 13th all-time meeting between the schools with FSU leading the series 12-1.

- On the tournament match selection: "Excited to be a part of it [the NCAA Tournament] as always. It's a great game, we played them earlier in the year and they [Florida State] are a fantastic team. It's another opportunity to go back to training and play the game. This week we were in a tournament where we were two minutes from going out and we came back, so crazier things have happened in the game of soccer. Again, it's a great opportunity to play against an amazing opponent so we're excited."

- On what it means for the team: "You almost feel like the players have so much pressure, because it is expected of them and you try to take that pressure off them. To be a part of the best in Division I soccer – it's an honor and a privilege – and I think we've got a great team that's got a lot character and fight. I think we've got an exceptional team and I don't ever count them out."
