THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
- On today's performance: "Overall, we are happy with the results; it was a great way to end the tournament. We had a few injuries today, but we did not let that slow us down. We responded well and competed just as hard, as we had a mind over body mindset. This tournament was very competitive, but we stayed aggressive at the right moments and trusted the process. Everyone played great today. Our goal is to continue to be competitive so we can see how the team is progressing and what we need to do for improvements as we move forward."
- On Sunday's doubles play: "We played well in doubles, even with another early morning start. We won two of the three matches, and even in the match that we lost, we still put up a good fight. Doubles play was more competitive for us today and we were able to beat some good teams.
- On his thoughts on singles action: "We went into singles with the same energy. Even in the matches that we lost, we remained focused and kept pushing. We need to continue to play and stop the opponent at every aspect of the game. Sébastien [Collard], whether it is on offense or defense, he continues to put himself in better positions to win. Julien [Evrard] pulled off a big win today. He fell in the first set, but he battled back and played like a champion."
