MOBILE, Ala. - The University of South Alabama men's tennis team (6-2) will take the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts on Sunday, Feb. 24 against the No. 45 ranked Florida Atlantic Owls (8-5) at 10 a.m. 

While Florida Atlantic comes into the match with the higher team ranking, the Owls do not boast any player in the individual rankings. The South Alabama duo of Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol sits at number 15 in the ITA doubles rankings, while Marzol checks in at No. 96 on the singles side.

NOTES
- South Alabama is coming off of a two-win weekend, defeating both Belmont and MTSU 4-3 on the road. 
- Florida Atlantic entered the ITA team rankings ahead of this weekends match, slotting in at the number 45 spot. The Owls have won three matches in a row, most recently taking down Stetson, 4-0 on Feb. 17. 
- The Jags and FAU met last season in Boca Raton, Fla., on March 29. The Owls won that match, 4-1. The Jaguars took the doubles point from FAU before falling in four consecutive singles rounds. 
- South Alabama and Florida Atlantic have both faced No. 19 Florida State this season. FAU fell 4-0 to the Seminoles on Jan. 13 and the Jaguars lost 2-5 to FSU on Jan. 18 in their first match of the season. 
- South Alabama's last win vs. a ranked opponent came in the first round of the 2018 NCAA tournament against No. 21 Memphis, on May 11. The Jags won that duel 4-3.

On the match: "FAU is a great team. They are ranked top 45 this year. We played them in Florida last year and it was a great battle. We feel that we are stronger than last year, so it's a great opportunity for us to beat a top 45 team at home. We made some changes to our doubles lineup and we think it will be more effective. When two similar teams like FAU and us play each other, the doubles point is always a big point. Overall, it will be a big battle on every court."
