MOBILE, Ala. - The University of South Alabama men's tennis team (1-2) welcomes Xavier (La.) to the David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts for its home opener on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. 

Coming off of a 1-1 weekend at the Los Angeles regional of the 2019 ITA Kickoff tournament this will be the Jaguars fourth dual match of the spring season.

NOTES
- South fell 4-1 to UC Santa Barbara in the first round of the ITA Kickoff and beat Cal Poly 4-3 for its first win of the season in the consolation round last weekend.
- The No. 16 ranked doubles team of Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol are 3-0 this season.
- Maxime Lapraille is 3-0 in the spring season and has lost just one of his previous seven matches dating back to Oct 12, 2018. 
- Xavier ranks third in the NAIA this season and made it all the way to the national semifinals last year. It will be the first match of the year for the Gold Rush. 
- The Jags opened the season vs. Xavier in 2018, defeating them 6-1 at home.

On the match: "It will be nice to be at home tomorrow. We've had three competitive matches against three ranked opponents. The goal tomorrow is to maintain that level and keep improving. Some guys are looking to bounce back from their performance at USC. It will also give us a chance to experiment new doubles pairs."
