MOBILE, Ala. - The University of South Alabama Men's Tennis team kicks off its 2019 spring schedule on the road with three dual matches, taking on Florida State on Friday, and Florida A&M in a double header on Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla. 

Duel Information
Dates: January 18 (2 p.m) & January 19 (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.).
Place: Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center (Jan. 18) & Rattler Tennis Courts (Jan. 19).
Opponents: Florida State & Florida A&M.

Notes 
- USA competed in four competitions during the fall, finishing up at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. 
- This weekend will be South's first competition of the spring season. 
- The Jags welcome freshman Louis Delcour, and senior transfer Sam Serrano to the roster, Delcour and Serrano will be making their Jags debut this weekend. 
- Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol competed in three tournaments during the fall, going 9-4 overall while advancing to the finals in the main draw of the ITA Southern Regional Championship in addition to the championship of the consolation bracket at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.

On starting the season: "This weekend will be a good test for us. We start the season with FSU which is definitively not easy. But we've been practicing hard for 2 weeks and it will be good to see where we stand. It is also an excellent preparation for the following weekend when we will go to California for the ITA kickoff."

On newcomers to the roster: "We can't wait to see our new players Louis and Sam playing in the line up. They will both have an important role in singles and doubles."

On Florida State: "FSU is a great team. We need to start strong and possibly surprise them in doubles. Going up 1-0 would be a big advantage since we are deep in singles."
