MOBILE, Ala. – With the opening of preseason practice for multiple sport programs this week, "Inside JagNation" — the official podcast of University of South Alabama Athletics — returns with an episode recorded with Kory Dixon.

In this edition of the podcast, the junior forward from Roanoke, Texas, discusses her excitement level as preseason training gets underway for Jaguar soccer, her approach with just one week to prepare for the first of two exhibition matches, expectations for the fall and what she did over the summer to prepare for the upcoming campaign.  Other topics of the conversation include her expectations upon arriving on campus as a freshman, how she prepared for a bigger role within the team as a sophomore, her reaction to earning all-Sun Belt Conference honors at the end of last season and her performance at the 2017 Sun Belt Tournament.  Dixon also talks about her start in the sport, why she chose South Alabama during the recruiting process, how her father — a former football player at Nebraska — has aided in her development and what profession she is interested in pursuing when her playing career ends.

In her first two years as a Jaguar, Dixon has totaled six goals and two assists for 14 points, appearing in 41 of 43 contests during that stretch while South has gone 29-12-2 overall and 16-4 in league play.  Last fall she was chosen second-team all-conference, then made the Sun Belt's all-tournament team after posting three goals and two assists to help the Jags claim their fifth title in a row.
