THEY SAID IT
Assistant Coach Juan Troglia
On the conditions: "Today's matches were definitely challenging. Corpus Chrisiti is always windy and makes the conditions a little more difficult to play."
On the match with UTRGV: "Gingras and Modica had a really good start with a 6-0 win on court 2 in doubles, with Gonzalez and di Loreto closing the doubles point for us on court 3. In singles, I didn't think we played well, however, the team as a whole fought hard and until the end to finish the match 4-1."
On the match in the afternoon against Corpus Christi: "They brought a lot of energy on the court. We started singles with our top-three guys taking their matches, but then we dropped our matches on courts 4, 5, and 6. We clinched the match in doubles with great play and wins on courts 1 and 3."
On the environment for the tournament: "The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was super intense and exciting where the guys showed great character and executed well under pressure. The guys are pumped to defend the HEB title tomorrow afternoon against UTSA."
