THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
Opening statement: "I liked. I liked the way we played doubles. We tried new combinations. We had one guy out today. I liked the way the guys reacted. The chemistry and energy were there. That was the number one goal to get off to a fast start against those guys. We said if we had a quick start, things would look pretty good. The second goal was to not lay off if we took the lead. The guys won the first set and kept putting the pressure on. I like wat I saw today."
Â
On getting on the road: "We got Georgia State tomorrow on the road and then we go to the H.E.B in Texas. The guys are excited to get on the road. It's a different challenge when you're on the road. Sometimes you are a little more focused since the whole team is together 24/7. The guys are excited. Woth Georgia State, we played them last year at the end of season in the conference final. It's a big rivalry between us. We have a lot of new players; they have the same it will be exciting to see how they do."
Â
Sophomore Loic Cloes
On the team's performance: "The team played good. Before the match, we said we have to be solid today because tomorrow at Georgia State it will be a tough match. We focused on the game and played well today."
