THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
On doubles: "We knew Southern Miss would be very explosive in doubles. Our doubles was a little flat and we didn't come up with the big shots on big points."
Â
On singles: "We regrouped in singles and had an excellent start. Winning the first set on four of the six courts gave us lots of confidence. One of our goals was to be positive and loud and our captains lead the way. Our newcomer Sacha (Modica) dominated his opponent and gave us a quick point. Sacha is turning into a key player for us. Even though they are only in their second season, Clement (Marzol) and Loic (Cloes) are playing like seniors. They played some great tennis at one and two today. We were dominating singles, but let Southern Miss back into the match and made things more complicated for us. I was glad to see how Max (Lapraille) fought. He was having a bad day, but was able to get the win for his team. Overall it was a good win and show how deep our lineup is."
