BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The South Alabama men's tennis team closed out the Birmingham Invitational with five victories on Sunday.
DOUBLES
- Sacha Modica and Samuel Serrano won their third doubles match of the weekend 7-5 over Cecchetto and Tsai of Southern Mississippi.
- Maxime Lapraille and Santiago di Loreto lost to Reyes and Bisht 6-2.
- Ezra Blissard and Nathan Fruh fell 6-1 to Southern Mississippi's Tortrakul and Kwasniewski.
SINGLES
- Modica defeated UNA's Pimenta 6-1, 6-1.
- Serrano won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-4, against Heslin of UNA.
- Lapraille didn't drop a point in his 6-0, 6-0 triumph over UNA's Girao.
- Blissard dropped his match to UNA's Hansen 6-1, 6-4.
- Fruh picked up his first singles win as a Jaguar over Heslin of UNA 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.

On the day: " We met after doubles and talked about how important it was to finish the tournament strong. And that's what we did. We dominated right from the start and never looked back. It was great to see Nathan come back from behind and fight with lots of passion to get his first collegiate singles win. He earned it, I'm proud of him."
