THEY SAID IT
Head Coach Nick Brochu
On today's match: "We battled for five and a half hours. It was such a physical match. We had our opportunity to win, but you could see that we are a young team that needs to mature before we can pull off big upsets. One thing is for sure, we know we have the talent to beat top-30 teams."
On doubles play: "The day started great by winning an important doubles point. Our number three team (Maxime Lapraille and Lucas Gonzalez) came up big in the tiebreaker. Playing indoors made it very exciting."
On the closing matches of singles play: "The last three matches were really close, but we got nervous on big points."
Takeaways from the today: "We will take a lot from today. We have the talent, but we need to rise up on big points. We talked about how bad this loss will sting, but that we'll learn from it. It's good for our freshmen to experience this early in their career to help them grow to be better in tough situations."
