• South Alabama leads the Sun Belt Conference in batting average (.338), slugging percentage (.543), on-base percentage (.471), runs scored (87), RBI (77), triples (5), walks (57) and total bases (151), and ranks second in the league in hits (94), home runs (10) and fielding percentage (.989).USA ranks second in the nation in walks, third in OBP, seventh in runs scored and triples, eighth in fielding percentage, 12th in slugging percentage and 17th in stolen bases (15). 

• Will Luft is tied for the league lead in triples (2), and ranks tied for fifth nationally. He ranks tied for fifth in the SBC in runs scored (9), tied for sixth in RBI (10), seventh in OBP (.500), tied for seventh in total bases (20) and tied for eighth in slugging percentage (.667).

• Adam Wolfe ranks second in the SBC in home runs (3). Wolfe homered three times in last weekend's series finale at Baylor, making him the first Jaguar since David Doss in 2009 to hit three home runs in one contest.

• Eddie Paparella ranks second in the conference in batting average (.481), third in RBI (12), fourth in slugging percentage (.704) and OBP (.548) and tied for fifth in runs scored (9).

• Wells Davis enters the weekend ranked tied for third in runs scored (10), tied for fourth in RBI (11), fifth in the league in OBP (.545), seventh in slugging percentage (.680) and tied for 11th in batting average (.400).

• Jag right-hander Nick DeSantis ranks tied for third in the SBC in strikeouts (17), and is 13th in the league in opposing batting avg. (.209).

• USA left-hander Zach Melton is tied for the league lead in hits allowed (3) and ranks second in the SBC in opposing batting avg. (.107).

JAGS LOOK FOR FIRST WIN AWAY FROM HOME
South Alabama enters the weekend 5-0 at Stanky Field, but it 0-3 away from home after getting swept in a three-game series at Baylor last weekend in Waco, Texas.

TWO OR FEWER TO WIN
USA is 3-0 when allowing two or fewer runs this season, but is 2-3 when surrendering three or more runs.

FIRST-INNING RUNS
The Jaguars have scored 14 first-inning runs in eight games this season after plating five runs in the bottom of the first inning in Tuesday's win over New Orleans at Stanky Field.

TWO-OUT RBI
Of USA's 77 team RBI this season, 43 have come with two outs. Eddie Paparella leads the team with seven two-out RBI through eight games.

HITTING STREAKS
Brendan Donovan enters the weekend with a seven-game hitting streak, after hitting safely in the final six games of the 2016 season, while Travis Swaggerty carries a five-game hitting streak into the tournament.

EARNED RUNS ALLOWED
After allowing just four earned runs through its first four games, South Alabama has allowed 26 earned runs over its last three contests while surrendering 10 or more hits in each of those games.

CALVI VS. TOURNAMENT OPPONENTS
USA head coach Mark Calvi is 3-6 all-time against Southeastern Louisiana, and is 9-12 during his career at USA against Troy. Calvi has never faced Seton Hall during his tenure at South Alabama.
