MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team will travel to Evansville, Ind., for a three-game non-conference series with Evansville at Braun Stadium this weekend.

All three games will be broadcast live on WNTM 710 AM in Mobile, and can also be accessed via the iHeartRadio app. Live stats will also be available through the multimedia section of USAJaguars.com, while in-game updates are provided at Twitter.com/SouthALBaseball.

The series will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by game two Saturday at 2 p.m. The series finale is scheduled for a noon first pitch.

USA (24-13) will send right-hander Kevin Hill (5-0) will make his seventh start of the year in the series opener. Hill has earned the win in each of his last five starts. Austin Bembnowski (2-3) will start his sixth game of the season in Saturday's contest, while Jaguar southpaw Jared Gates (3-1) will get the start in the series finale.

South Alabama took two of three games from Appalachian State last weekend, and enters the weekend tied for second in the Sun Belt Conference standings with Georgia Southern.

The Jaguars are batting .289 as a team, while the pitching staff has posted a 3.48 ERA with 284 strikeouts in 336 1/3 innings pitched.

Evansville (18-15) defeated SIU-Edwardsville Tuesday in Evansville, and defeated Indiana 2-1 in 14 innings in Bloomington, Ind., Wednesday. The Purple Aces are hitting .258 as a team, led by Kevin Kaczmarski who is batting .417 with eight doubles, three triples, two home runs, 24 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

The Evansville pitching staff carries a 4.77 ERA in 296 innings pitched into the series, while opponents are hitting .274 against them.
