MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama’s Augustine Rubit and Dre Conner were singled out in Yahoo! Sports’ Sun Belt men’s basketball preview.

Earning First Team All-Sun Belt honors is Rubit, a junior from Houston, Texas, who is coming off a sophomore season where he averaged 15.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. His rebounding average led the conference for the second straight year and his 12 double-doubles also paced the league.

Conner was named the Newcomer of the Year. A junior college transfer from Labette Community College, the junior from Lauderhill, Fla. spent his freshman season at Towson and averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 assists per contest.

Yahoo! picked South Alabama to finish second in the East Division behind defending Sun Belt champion Middle Tennessee.
