MOBILE, Ala. -- South Alabama men's basketball senior guard
Chaze Harris received Second-Team NABC All-District honors, the organization announced.
The 2026 Sun Belt Player of the Year, Harris, led all Sun Belt players with 22 points per contest in conference play. Harris closed the regular season ranked seventh nationally in field goals made and free throw attempts, while his 633 total points are among the top 50 nationally. The senior guard shot 53.6 percent from the field overall and 58.2 percent in league games and tallied 13 20-point games, including three 30-point performances while scoring in double-figures 31 times. Demonstrating his all-around impact, the Cleveland, Ohio native ranked second in the Sun Belt in assists (4.6) and fourth in steals (1.6) per game.
He is the 11th Jaguar to receive the distinction and the first since NABC introduced a new model for its Division I district alignment a season ago, with schools arranged by state rather than by conference. The Southeast District includes Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
