Ellis broke the South Alabama men's triple jump record for the second time this season with a 15.54m (51-00.00) mark Tuesday at the Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships, the best in the conference this year, to claim the event title. The Gainesville, Fla., native also recorded a personal-best long jump effort of 6.82m (22-04.50) Monday while adding another top-10 performance at the meet.
