Mitchell averaged 27.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in South Alabama's 1-1 week, which included the team's first road win of the season; he shot 55.0 percent from the floor, 66.7 percent from 3-point land and made all six free-throw attempts. He recorded a career-high 31 points and added 12 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season at
Louisiana, with the 31 points coming on 13-of-23 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 from distance. He followed that up with a game-high 23 points at ULM, handing the Warhawks their first home loss of the season. In that contest, Mitchell grabbed seven rebounds, shot 9-of-17 from the field and blocked a pair of shots to move into fifth place by himself in South Alabama's career record books. For his efforts, the junior shared the Sun Belt Conference Player-of-the-Week award.
