The University of South Alabama women’s basketball team remained unbeaten with the program's first road victory over the University of Alabama, and a home win over Alabama State this week. The reigning Sun Belt Player of the Week, Antoinette Lewis was key in those victories, averaging 17.5 points and seven rebounds per game. The sophomore forward from Memphis Tenn., narrowly missed her third double-double of the season with 14 points and nine rebounds against the Tide on Wednesday afternoon. After a slow first half against Alabama State, Lewis connected on 6-of-6 shots from the floor and put up 19 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter to help clinch the win over Alabama State. Lewis shot 63 percent from the floor this week, and currently ranks third overall in the NCAA with a .746 field-goal percentage for the season.
