Cloes helped the Jags repeat as H.E.B. Invitational Champions by going 3-0 in singles play and 1-0 in doubles play. He defeated Dennis Boisseau of UTRGV 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 in his first match of the weekend on court 2 and proceeded to defeat Corpus Christi’s Francois Kellerman 6-1, 6-2 later in the afternoon on court 1 while he his doubles partner Clement Marzol shutout Corpus Christi’s Francois Kellerman and Okkie Kellerman on court 1 to help USA advance to the championship match. Cloes shutdown UTSA’s Juri Reckow to help seal a shutout of the Roadrunners. He and Marzol were leading in other two doubles matches that went unfinished.
