Williams averaged 25 points and six rebounds in two games last week, setting a new career high with 33 points in South Alabama’s 82-76 overtime win over Central Michigan, shooting 11-for-13 from the floor and 3-for-3 from 3-point land. His scoring total was the highest by a USA player since Dec. 15, 2007, and the first 30-point game by a Jag since Jan. 8, 2009. Against the Chippewas, Williams scored 20 points in the first half alone, the first time that had been accomplished by a Jag since March 10, 2008. He also led the team with 17 points at Southern Miss.
