Soria got off to an excellent start to the spring season by going 3-0 singles on the second court at the Florida State Invitational over the weekend. Soria defeated Anthony Schonn of Florida Atlantic 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the opening match of the tournament. Later that day he defeated Florida State's Guy Iradukunda, ranked No. 59 in the nation, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. He concluded the tournament with a straight-set 6-3, 6-4 victory over Mustapha Belcora of Troy. In doubles Soria and new partner freshman Loic Cloes, who just joined the team for the spring semester, went 1-2 on the weekend at the number one spot. They topped Andrei Morin-Kougoucheff and Remi Chancerel of Florida Atlantic 6-1 and fell to No. 56 Aziz Dougas and Guy Iradukunda of Florida State 6-4 and Troy's Pablo Moreno and Andy Lau 6-4.
