Daniel capped her senior year at South Alabama by receiving her bachelor’s degree at commencement on Dec. 10. The Chelmsford, England, native closed her Jaguar career by earning all-Sun Belt Conference honors for the fourth consecutive season. Daniel was named second-team all-SBC in 2016 after finishing the season ranked fourth in kills per set (3.00) in league matches. She ranked ninth in kills per set (2.75) in all matches. She recorded five double-doubles in 2016, making her the career double-double leader at USA. She turned in 16 matches with 10 or more kills, including four of the final five contests of the regular season. Daniel helped guide USA to the program’s best regular-season finish (T-2nd in East Division) after opening the season with the best start (7-1) since 1980, as well as the most program wins (16) since the 1994 season. South Alabama qualified for the SBC Tournament in each of Daniel’s four seasons. Daniel was the 2013 SBC Freshman of the Year and first-team all-SBC selection, and was a second-team all-conference pick in 2014 and ’15. She was also named to the SBC Commissioner’s List in 2014.
