Torres was named the Men's Most Outstanding Field Performer at the Sun Belt Conference Championships over the weekend.  On Friday, the senior picked up his third consecutive title at the event in the discus, as his mark of 54.55m was over two meters better than the runner-up, and he also placed third in the hammer throw on Sunday with a distance of 57.40m.
