Almeida was instrumental in helping South Alabama sweep both of its Sun Belt matches this past weekend, recording 32 kills on 68 attempts while committing just seven attack errors for a .368 hitting percentage -- she led the Jaguars with 3.20 kills and 4.60 digs per set, and posted a double-double against both UALR and Arkansas State.  On Friday night against the Trojans, Almeida tied for team-high honors with 12 kills and 13 digs en route to leading USA to its first conference home-opener victory since the 1995 season.  On Sunday, she had 20 kills and set a new career-high in digs with 33, which were the second-highest individual tally in program history and the most since Keturah Carter’s 36 against Alabama back on Oct. 14, 1989.
