Playing at No. 1 singles for the first time in her career, she dropped just one game against Nathalie Lorenzo of Alabama State 6-1, 6-0, moving to No. 2 singles for her next three wins, starting with Raphaela Lima of Jacksonville State, 6-2, 6-4; Ghermani added wins over Lara Pujol of McNeese State (6-1, 6-2) and Natalia Mayagoitia of Lamar (6-1, 6-3). In doubles, Ghermani and Martin lost just one game total in victories over teams from Jacksonville State (8-0) and McNeese State (8-1).
