GLASGOW, Scotland – South Alabama Track & Field alum Kyle Rademeyer earned the silver medal in the pole vault while representing his home country of South Africa at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.

One of the most decorated athletes in South Alabama Athletics history, Rademeyer cleared 5.70 meters (18-8 1/2) to finish second and secure the silver medal. His performance also helped South Africa earn its 28th and final medal of the Games.

A 2025 South Alabama graduate, Rademeyer compiled one of the most accomplished careers in program history. He earned eight NCAA All-America honors, captured the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Pole Vault National Championship, and won six Sun Belt Conference titles during his time with the Jaguars.
