The South Alabama Track & Field/Cross Country program invites the community to lace up their running shoes for the 2nd Annual Go Jags Run 5K, a fundraiser benefiting Jaguar Track & Field and Cross Country. Whether you're chasing a personal record, walking with friends and family, or simply looking to support the Jaguars, this event is designed for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Come enjoy a fun, energetic morning while connecting with our student-athletes and coaches.

Registration: 

Online Registration: $30   (Deadline Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026)
South Alabama Students: $20 (Valid South Alabama student ID required.)
Race Day Registration: $40

Participants who register online by the deadline are guaranteed an official race t-shirt. Any remaining shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on race morning. 

Packet Pick-Up: 

Friday, October 23
South Alabama Ticket Office
9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Race Day (Saturday)
Hancock Whitney Stadium
6:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.

Packet pickup closes promptly at 7:55 a.m. Participants who register before the online registration deadline may pick up their race packet and official t-shirt during either packet pick-up window. Please ensure your registration is complete before arriving to pick up your packet. If you are unable to attend Friday's packet pick-up, you may pick up your packet on race morning before the deadline.

Reminders: 

• Race packets and t-shirts will not be mailed.
• Packets must be picked up in person.
• Participants who register by the online registration deadline are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
• Any unclaimed shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis after packet pick-up.
• No refunds will be issued for this event.
• Packets not picked up during the designated times may not be available after the event.

Age Divisions: 

• Open: 29 & Under
• Junior: Ages 30–39
• Master: Ages 40–49
• Grandmaster: Ages 50 & Over

Awards: 

The top three male and female finishers in each age division will receive:

• Go Jags Run 5K Medal
• Go Jags Run Certificate
• Gift Card

Award Ceremony: Approximately 9:30 a.m., immediately following the conclusion of the race.
 

Parking: 

Participants should enter campus through Entrance 2.
