MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama football student-athlete Baxter Turner has been named a nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, as announced by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and Allstate Wuerffel Trophy recognize college football student-athletes who distinguish themselves through community service, academic achievement and leadership on and off the field. The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team is entering its 35th year of honoring student-athletes whose contributions extend beyond their performance on the football field.

Turner has appeared in 18 games during his South Alabama career, serving as a long snapper for the Jaguars while also earning recognition for his work in the classroom. He was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection following the 2025 season and also serves as the team's representative on the South Alabama Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
