South Alabama Announces Radio Partnership with Cumulus Media

MOBILE, Ala. –South Alabama Athletics has announced a new broadcast partnership with Cumulus Media, providing a new home for Jags Radio Network broadcasts.

"We're excited to begin this new venture with Cumulus Media," said Director of Broadcasting JT Crabtree. "It was clear how eager they were to get involved with Mobile's team. Their enthusiasm for all things South Alabama truly jumped off the page. Their platforms will provide JagNation with great coverage across the Gulf Coast."

Jaguar Football will now be found on Hot 94.1 FM, as well as JOX 660 AM and 104.1 FM-HD3. All broadcasts of Men's Basketball, Baseball and Softball, as well as Football, will be streamed exclusively on the free Varsity Network app. Football broadcasts will also be available on the Sirius XM platform.

For the first time ever, a public archive of all broadcasts will be available via the Varsity Network app, and as well as JagNationTV.com.

"Cumulus is proud to partner with the University of South Alabama to expand the reach of Jaguar Football across the Gulf Coast." said Don Boyd, Regional Vice President/Market Manager for Cumulus Mobile, Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach. "By broadcasting games on JOX 660 WXQW, 104.1 HD3, and 94.1 WMEZ, we're providing fans unprecedented access to South Alabama Football.  This three-frequency network delivers outstanding coverage from Biloxi to Fort Walton Beach and throughout the communities north of the Gulf Coast, ensuring Jag fans never miss a moment of the action."

Crabtree will return for his 13th season as the play-by-play voice of the Jags, alongside Charlie Harrison as analyst and Carly Hudson as sideline reporter. Bradley Moore will continue as gameday host and engineer for all football broadcasts, while Pat Greenwood will contribute to select radio broadcasts in addition to his ESPN+ responsibilities.

"The way listeners consume radio is changing," said Crabtree. "We're making every effort to ensure our broadcasts remain as accessible and convenient as possible for our fans. Our expanded partnership with Sidearm Sports to utilize the Varsity Network app will give JagNation easy access to all Jags Radio Network broadcasts. Listeners will be able to start, pause, rewind, and fast-forward broadcasts, while also receiving notifications directly to their smart devices when a broadcast begins."

The Jags' football coaches show, "Jags Live!," will now originate from the Hargrove Club at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Presented by Circle K, the show will air Wednesdays from 6–7 p.m. CT on the Varsity Network app, running from September 2 through November 25. A replay will also be available on JOX 660 AM and 104.1 FM-HD3. Crabtree and Greenwood will host the program, joined each week by various coaches and student-athletes.

Adding to the weekly broadcast schedule is a new talk show, "On Campus." Hosted by Crabtree and Greenwood, the program will feature a recap of the previous week, a look ahead to upcoming action, and discussions on both the Sun Belt Conference and the national college athletics landscape. The show will also include occasional guest appearances, with fans encouraged to participate. "On Campus" airs Mondays at 2 p.m. on the free Varsity Network app, starting July 13.
