Jags to Host Crimson Tide in Tuesday Night Match-Up

MOBILE, Ala. - South Alabama (13-7, 1-2 SBC) is set to host its first SEC opponent in Alabama (15-6, 0-3 SEC) on Tuesday night at Stanky Field. The contest will air on ESPN+ and is slated for 6:30 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
The Crimson Tide is the fifth most historical opponent in South Alabama program history, with 115 games between the two squads dating back to 1967. Alabama leads the all-time series 64-51, however, the Jaguars lead contests played at Stanky Field 30-23. The most recent meeting saw a 6-5 victory from then No. 12 Alabama in 10 innings in 10 innings, after the 2024 season match-up ended with a 5-4 Jaguar victory, also played in Tuscaloosa. The Tide has not visited Mobile since 2023 which ended in a win 4-0, and have gone 8-2 over the Jaguars in the last 10 games.

SCOUTING THE CRIMSON TIDE
Alabama enters the midweek contest at Stanky Field coming off the SEC opening series, where they were swept by No. 21 Kentucky in Lexington. Excluding the Frisco College Baseball Classic where it took down Iowa and No. 19 Oregon State, the Kentucky series was the Tide's first weekend set against one opponent away from home this season. An impressive 11-1 record at home highlights its season successes in the early going, with sweeps over Rhode Island, North Florida, a series victory and only home loss to Washington State, and a win over SBC rival Troy in a midweek game. A loss to then No. #12 Southern Miss makes the Tide 1-1 against SBC opponents thus far. Alabama will return to its stomping grounds to host Florida after facing the Jags.
