NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference has released its 2025-26 men's basketball schedule, and South Alabama is set to begin conference play with four consecutive road games before closing the regular season at home against West Division rival Southern Miss in the Mitchell Center.
In a change from previous years, the Jaguars will face three conference opponents before the start of the new year. Sun Belt action tips off on Dec. 17, when the Jags travel to Monroe, La., to take on ULM, followed by a trip to Texas State on Dec. 20.
South Alabama continues its road swing at Louisiana on Dec. 31 for a New Year's Eve showdown against the Ragin' Cajuns, and opens 2026 on the road at arch rival Troy on Jan. 3.
The Jaguars return to the Mitchell Center for their conference home opener against Georgia Southern on Jan. 10. USA will then host Arkansas State on Jan. 15 and wrap up the season series with Louisiana on Jan. 17.
A brief road trip follows, with visits to James Madison on Jan. 22 and Marshall on Jan. 24. The Jags then close out January at home with matchups against Coastal Carolina on Jan. 29 and Georgia State on Jan. 31.
To open February, South Alabama heads to Boone, N.C., to take on App State on Feb. 4, before returning home for the MAC-SBC Challenge on Feb. 7.
The Jaguars' final road stretch features games at Southern Miss on Feb. 12 and Arkansas State on Feb. 14.
South Alabama will conclude the regular season with a four-game homestand. The Jags will host Texas State on Feb. 19, Troy on Feb. 21, ULM on Feb. 25, and Southern Miss in the regular season finale on Feb. 27.
The Jags will then prepare for the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Tournament, set for March 3-9 at the Pensacola Bay Center.
