South Alabama to Host 2026 Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships

NEW ORLEANS– South Alabama will serve as the host site for the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Track & Field Championships, the league office announced Monday morning.

The meet will take place from May 14-16, 2026 at Jaguar Track in Mobile, Ala. This marks the third time South Alabama has hosted the meet, as they previously hosted the Championships in 2015 and 2021.

"We are thrilled to see the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track Field Championships return to South Alabama in 2026 and to bring the event to App State for the first time in 2027," said Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Keith Gill. "As we visit our fourth first-time host over the past five seasons—with App State joining Coastal Carolina (2023),ULM (2024) and James Madison (2025), we look forward to the first-class experiences each of these institutions will provide for our student-athletes and fans."

"We are honored and excited to host the 2026 Sun Belt Outdoor Track and Field Championships," said South Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann. "Every opportunity to welcome visitors to our campus and community allows us to create a memorable championship experience for the student-athletes, their families, and their supporters."

The 2026 Outdoor Track & Field Championships will stream live on ESPN+ all three days.
