MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Men's Tennis junior
Braden Hannig has been named Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Hannig's recognition comes on the heels of a perfect week in which he won every match he played.
Against Louisiana, Hannig knocked off William Jade in straight sets by a score of 6-3, 7-5. The Tuscaloosa native then won both his doubles and singles matches at Southern Miss. In doubles, he teamed up with
Javier Montoya for a 6-3 victory on court one. In doubles, Hanning played in the No. 2 position and defeated Saheb Sodhi in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
Hannig and the Jaguars will close the regular season on Sunday, April 13 when they host Georgia State. First serve is slated for 10 a.m. CT. The Jags will honor senior
Javier Montoya prior to the match.
