MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Track and Field will hit the road for their second trip to Mississippi in two weeks as they head to Ole Miss to compete in the Joe Walker Invitational on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5.

- The first edition of the USTFCCCA Event Squad Rankings was released this week, and several Jaguar teams are ranked in the Top 25 in the NCAA.
- On the men's side, the javelin squad of Reuben Booysen, Jackson Laughlin, Dylan Hale, and Brody Hamilton is second in the nation with an average throw of 64.14 meters (210-05). The 400-meter hurdles crew, consisting of Kendal White, Jadon Thomason, Bo Webb, and Ryler Gould is third with a time of 3:34.12.
- On the women's side, the javelin team of Ava Wheaton, Calli Stokes, Mallory Norton, and Karleigh Mills are ranked 14th in the country with a combined throw of 168.51 meters (552-10). The hammer throw squad of Iyana Johnson, Teneal Els, Flora Dupans, and Dawson Wright is ranked 19th with a combined total of 201.
- Johnson and Samuel Mika have earned first place in the hammer throw in three straight meets.
- Dianna Goodman became the fourth woman in program history to clear four meters in the pole vault at the Southern Miss Invitational. Goodman recorded a clearance of 4.01 meters (13-1.75) to clinch the No.4 mark in South Alabama history.
- Coming off a school record-breaking performance two weeks ago, Booysen is ranked No.6 in the nation in the javelin with a mark of 72.45 meters (237-08).
- Jordan Morrison claimed his third win of the season and the first win in the 800 meters this year at Southern Miss. Morrison blazed to a time of 1.53.51, outlegging a competitor from Southern Miss by three-tenths of a second.
- Dupans secured two new personal bests in the discus and hammer throws. Dupans won the discus and secured the fourth farthest throw in program history with a career-best mark of 50.34 meters (165-02) before taking fourth in the hammer with a toss of 48.46 meters (159-0).
- Sacha Perrier clocked the third fastest time in program history in the 10,000m (28:59.11) at the Raleigh Relays.
- To open up the outdoor season, Freshman Will Frederick has cleared 4.90 meters or higher twice to clinch first place in both appearances.
