MOBILE, Ala. – With three weeks remaining in the regular season, the South Alabama Track & Field program is set to travel to Tuscaloosa to compete in the Crimson Tide Invitational on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12.

The Jags will compete against 29 other teams, including Alabama, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Alabama-Huntsville, Alcorn State, Arkansas State, Barton County CC, Belmont, Connecticut, Jacksonville State, Jackson State, Indiana, Indiana State, Kennesaw State, Life, Louisiana, ULM, Memphis, Meridian CC, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee State, North Alabama, Rhode Island, Samford, SEMO, Southern Miss, Tennessee Southern, Troy, Wallace State, and UAB.
- On Wednesday, the USTFCCCA event squad rankings for week two were released, and several Jaguar programs are ranked in the Top 25 in the country.
- For the second week in a row, two Jaguar squads are ranked Top five in the country. The men's javelin group, consisting of Reuben Booysen, Jackson Laughlin, Dylan Hale, and Brody Hamilton is fourth in the nation with an average throw of 64.14 meters (210-05). The 400-meter hurdles crew, consisting of Kendal White, Jadon Thomason, Bo Webb, and Ryler Gould is fifth with a time of 3:33.21.
- The men's discus squad, including Samuel Mika, Joshua Acker, Bobby Gray, and Reuben Boosyen are ranked 20th in the NCAA with a combined throw of 196.05 meters (643-03).
- On the women's side, the javelin team of Ava Wheaton, Calli Stokes, Mallory Norton, and Karleigh Mills are ranked 19th in the country with a combined throw of 168.51 meters (552-10).
- Johnson and Samuel Mika have earned first place in the hammer throw in three straight meets.
- Two Jaguar athletes took first place in the decathlon and heptathlon during their first-ever time competing at the Joe Walker Invitational last week. Calli Stokes posted five new personal bests and two first-place finishes in the javelin (39.74 meters) and shot put (13.14 meters) to tally 4297 points to secure the event win. Freshman Samuel Warriner earned fourth place and the eighth-highest point total in program history in the decathlon with 6734 points in his first decathlon ever. Warriner's 110-meter hurdle highlighted his outing as he clocked a time of 15.15 to finish in second place and set a new personal best.
- Coming off a school record-breaking performance three weeks ago, Booysen has won the javelin throw in three straight meets and is ranked No.12 in the nation in the javelin with a mark of 72.45 meters (237-08).
