MOBILE, Ala. – Coming off a strong start to the outdoor season, the South Alabama Track and Field program is set to travel to LSU to compete in the Lurline Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, March 22.

The competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the women's weight throw and conclude with the Men's 1600-meter Relay race at 4:20 p.m. CT. South Alabama is one of eight teams competing at this meet, including Grambling State, Louisiana Tech, LSU, New Orleans, Northwestern State, Southeastern, and Southern.

- Kyle Rademeyer received the sixth overall first-team All-American accolade in his storied career after he cleared 5.61 meters (18 '4.75) in the pole vault to take fifth place at the NCAA Indoor Nationals on March 14. He has totaled eight All-American honors, won an NCAA National Title, six Sun Belt Conference Titles, and set two school records.
- The Jags collected 15 event wins in their outdoor season opener at Jaguar Track on March 14-15.
- South Alabama's freshman class showed out once again at the South Alabama Invitational. Will Frederick continued a stellar start to his freshman campaign and picked up a win in the men's pole vault with a jump of 4.95 meters. Jadon Thomason and Presleigh Montalvo both had phenomenal days. Thomason won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.01, finishing a tenth of a second off the school record. He followed up that performance by placing first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.67. Montalvo bolted to her first win of her outdoor career, clocking a time of 24.75 in the 200 meters, besting the rest of her competition by nearly two seconds.
- Kosta Zografos had a monstrous personal best in the high jump for the Jaguar men, reaching 2.09 meters; this is the No.3 ranked mark in the entire country this season and the No.2 all-time ranking in the Jaguar record books.
- In the throwers circle, Samuel Mika claimed first place in the hammer throw with a personal best toss of 58.14 meters, moving him into No.6 all-time in the event for South Alabama. Iyana Johnson logged a throw of 56.57 meters in the women's portion of the hammer throw to earn the win, improving her all-time ranking in the USA record books to No.7.
- Fresh off an All-Conference performance in the indoor season, Dianna Goodman recorded a pole vault of 3.73 meters to earn first place.
