Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Jaguars closed out their time in Fort Myers with a resounding 4-2 win over 32nd-ranked Yale Sunday morning.
The Jaguars, now winners of three straight, improve their record to 7-2.
The Jaguars earned the doubles point with a 6-3 victory from
Delien Kleinhans and
Rio Maeda in the #1 spot that was followed by
Kenza Elakili and
Chems Doha Zeghlouli downing their opponents 6-3.
Rio Maeda dominated in the #2 spot for singles, with a 3-6, 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Chems Doha Zeghlouli earned a tough 7-5, 7-6 victory for the #3 spot.
Kenza Elakili sealed the victory for South as she defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-1.
"Superb effort by the girls", said head coach Dr. Jaco Keyser. "If processed correctly this should provide validation that we are on the right path and more importantly help in the process of building that self confidence and inner belief that we have enough substance to compete within the conference. Looking forward to getting back home and resting up so that we can get back on the practice courts".
