Jags Earn #2 Seed, Will Compete in SBC Championship Quarterfinals

MOBILE, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference released the bracket for the 2026 Women's Tennis Championship on Monday, and South Alabama earned the No. 2 seed and is slated to compete in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The Jags will face #7 Louisiana or #10 Marshall at 1:00 p.m. CT on Friday at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.

The 2026 Sun Belt Tournament seeding was based on ITA rankings. The Jags ranked in the Top 75 four times this season, including a season-high spot at No. 58 on March 17. South Alabama was one of only two Sun Belt teams to rank this season.

The Jags finished the regular season with an 11-6 record, including an impressive 10-0 start. Jade Marie boasts a team-high 11-2 mark in singles, all victories on court five.

South Alabama also had multiple players earn Sun Belt weekly honors, including Kenza Elakili, Manal Ennaciri, Rio Maeda and Jana Rovira.
