GREENSBORO, Ga. - South Alabama ended the week in Georgia with a historic final round led by freshman Tim Kretschmann.

Kretschmann shot 75-79-64–218 for a two-over finish on the week. Kretschmann's final round tied the program record for best single round in Jaguar history and sets the record for best non-home event score. The last Jag to shoot 64 in a round was Will Skipp in the first round of the 2023 Hal Williams Collegiate. 

The Jags as a team started strong, tied for fifth before tough weather conditions handicapped the field, including South Alabama. The Jags dropped to eighth place after struggling with the cold weather and high winds on the course. A stellar final round saw three Jaguars play for a sub-70 score, and all four counting scores land under par. Along with Kretschmann, Hugo Thyr set his personal season-best score with 67 in the final round.
