MOBILE, Ala. – After a career rushing performance that led South Alabama Football to a 42-35 win over west division leader Southern Miss, running back
Kentrel Bullock has been named Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Bullock carried the ball 23 times for 187 yards and three touchdowns in the winning effort. The 187 yards set a career high for the senior running back, as did the three touchdowns in a single game. In the fourth quarter with the Golden Eagles threatening to close the gap, Bullock ripped off a 64-yard touchdown run, which is the longest run of his career. The Columbia, Miss. native finished the game averaging 8.1 yards per carry. Bullock's efforts on Saturday pushed him over the 1,000-yard mark on the season. Bullock became the first, and only, running back in the Sun Belt Conference to hit 1,000 yards in 2025.
Bullock and the Jaguars will close the 2025 season at Texas State on Saturday, Nov. 29. Kickoff against the Bobcats is slated for 2 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
