HATTIESBURG, Miss. – South Alabama was perfect on day two of the Golden Eagle Fall Invitational, winning all four doubles and all four singles matches in the team's season-opening tournament at Southern Miss.
"I'm very happy about this weekend," said South Alabama head coach Nick Brochu. "You never know what to expect for the first fall tournament, and I think we did extremely well. We went in there with a goal of winning 70-75 percent of our matches, and I think we did that. We were very dominant, especially on the second day. We were tired, but we were fighting. I'm very impressed and very happy with our guys. We saw things we need to work on. We saw where we're at, and we're in a good position. Now we have two weeks to get better and stronger before we go to regionals, which is our biggest tournament of the fall."
