NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference released its 2024-25 conference schedule, and the South Alabama Men's Basketball team is slated to take on 12 of 14 teams in the conference, including a conference home opener against James Madison and a regular-season finale in the Mitchell Center versus Louisiana. 

Conference play is scheduled to start on Dec. 21 at home against defending Sun Belt champion James Madison. 

After wrapping up non-conference play, the Jags will hit the road to start the new year by taking on Georgia State on Jan.2 and Georgia Southern on Jan. 4. 

South will head home for a four-game homestand, starting with Arkansas State and Old Dominion on Jan. 9 and Jan.11. Rivalry week will then ensue as Southern Miss and Troy come to the Mitchell Center on Jan.15 and Jan.18. 

Following a pair of road games at ULM on Jan.23 and Troy on Jan.25, the Jags will welcome ULM for their second matchup against the Warhawks in seven days on Jan.30. 

South Alabama will open February with road games at Louisiana on Feb.1 and Coastal Carolina on Feb.3.

After five days off for the MAC-SBC Challenge, the Jaguars will square off with Marshall and Texas State in a two-game homestand on Feb.13 and Texas State on Feb.15. 

South will close the season with a three-game road swing, traveling to Arkansas State on Feb.19, Texas State on Feb.22, and Southern Miss on Feb.26.

Louisiana will visit the Mitchell Center for the regular season finale on Feb.28.
