Series Preview: Arkansas State

MOBILE, Ala. - South Alabama prepares for a crucial home series against Arkansas State.

The Jags (18-15, 4-8 SBC) enter the contest coming off a midweek upset over #25 Alabama, 5-4, and Arkansas State (16-18, 3-9 SBC) is coming off being swept by Troy last weekend, with their midweek home contest against Little Rock being postponed.

USA holds the all-time series lead over Arkansas State, 74-34. The Jags were swept in the final series of last season in Jonesboro. The last time the Red Wolves visited Mobile, The Jags took all three in the series. ASU and USA have only ever faced each other as conference foes, first facing off in a 1993 series that South Alabama won in the first two games.
