MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama men's tennis player
Jack Clements has been named Sun Belt Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
The player of the week award is the first of the season for the Jaguars. It is voted upon by the league's coaches each week.
Clements earned a big singles victory against Bekhzod Rasamatov from UNC Wilmington with a 6-3, 6-2 decision. This win helped South go on to earn a 4-0 team victory. Clements also played doubles with teammate
Braden Hannig in that match, but the set went unfinished at a score of 4-4 once the Jags had secured the doubles point.
Clements and the Jaguars will be in action again on Friday, Feb. 23 when in-state rival UAB comes to town. First serve is slated for 11 a.m. CT.
