MOBILE, Ala - Sophomore standout
Hugo Thyr finished with another top-five finish at the home course Hal Williams Collegiate. Going 67-69-70--206 to finish seven-under-par, Thyr helped the Jaguars go even for the tournament on a sixth-place finish (278-287-287--852).
Joshua Achord also ended three-under-par, with all three rounds staying at or even with the course benchmark (69-71-70--210).
USA produced a strong opening round, going six-under to hang in the top-five, but back-to-back three-over rounds left the Jags snugly in sixth place. Illinois held pace to finish 25-under (278-274-275--827) and three strokes ahead of LSU (282-276-272--830). LSU's Jay Mendell led the field with a consistent 67-68-68--203 to go 10-under.

Ben Hannan: after the long break, it was good to get going again and always nice to host at home. It was a solid week with a lot of positives to build on moving forward.
